Hard Surface Study - iron cast popcorn

In this animation, popcorn is being prepared in a cast iron pan.

The main focus of this project was the simulation of the popping corn and the interplay between organic and inorganic materials. Special attention was given to achieving a believable physical reaction, as well as the contrast between the rough metal surface and the soft, irregular shapes of the popcorn.
